The Aristotle Foundation Launch Gala with former Australian prime minister Tony Abbott

The Aristotle Foundation for Public Policy is pleased to host the Honourable Tony Abbott, the 28th prime minister of Australia, on Tuesday April 9th, 2024 at the Petroleum Club in Calgary.

Mr. Abbott will speak on the domestic and international threats to ordered liberty and our freedoms be it in Canada, Australia, and other nations worldwide.

Aristotle Foundation president and founder Mark Milke will host the evening.

About the Honourable Tony Abbott

The Honourable Tony Abbott served as Prime Minister of Australia from 2013 to 2015. A citizen of Great Britian by birth and a naturalized Australian citizen, Mr. Abbott, a Rhodes scholar, served as a Member of the Australian Parliament from 1994 to 2009, a cabinet minister between 1998 and 2007, leader of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition from 2009 to 2013, and as the 28th prime minister of Australia from 2013 to 2015. Upon leaving Parliament in 2019, Mr. Abbott was appointed to the board of the Ramsay Centre for Western Civilisation in 2016 and to the board of the Australian War Memorial in 2019. As of July 2023, Mr. Abbott holds the role of a Senior Advisor at New Direction, a European think tank, and in November 2023, Abbott was appointed to a board seat at Fox Corporation.
