EMPLOYMENT OPENING: Media and Marketing Coordinator

The Aristotle Foundation for Public Policy is an educational and public policy think tank based in Canada that champions reason, democracy, and civilization. We seek to anchor Canadian public life in reality via facts and informed history. 

We are hiring a Media and Marketing Coordinator to proactively share our research, videos, columns, and more through social media, new/alternative media, and traditional media, and grow our audience through inbound marketing.

This is your chance to have a positive impact on Canada by publicizing groundbreaking, relevant research that addresses modern ideas and policy problems in Canada and proactively offers positive, fact-based remedies.

The Media and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for summarizing and publicizing Aristotle Foundation research and other work (e.g., videos) and events.

Required skills:

  • Extensive experience with social media platforms
  • Considerable attention to detail and accuracy in popularizing (making accessible) data and research
  • Ability to summarize data and research
  • Outstanding proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple major ongoing projects
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently

Duties include:

Media relations

  • Creation of media releases based on forthcoming studies
  • Coordination of study authors with media who wish to conduct interviews

Research marketing

  • Ideation on study graphics (obtaining facts/quotes from studies, drafting introductory copy, scheduling) 
  • Creation of Great Thoughts graphics (research, transcription, drafting introductory copy, scheduling) 

Marketing and advertising

  • Creation of ad designs and YouTube thumbnails in Canva 
  • Uploading videos to YouTube, Rumble, X, etc. 
  • Posting of clips to to social media (interviews, columns, book excerpts, etc.) 
  • Ads management in Facebook ads manager, on X, and Google Ads 
  • Creation and updating of analytics, tracking performance, and data collection 
  • Meltwater reporting and data management
  • Constant Contact subscriber list management
  • Email drip campaigns 

Other

  • Other duties as assigned, including assisting the Executive Coordinator with events.

Education and experience. Must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or design diploma, or relevant experience related to publicity and marketing.

In addition to the above, our ideal candidate:

Other qualifications:

  • You must be legally allowed to work in Canada. You must also reside in Canada.

The position:

  • Full-time, starting date August 15, 2025.
  • Compensation dependent on experience and qualifications. This is a junior position.
  • You will report to the president.
  • This position is remote but a Calgary-based employee is preferred.
